Wow! This place is amazing! It’s like stepping back in time. I had asked for an accessible room due to my husband not able to walk up stairs. The room was super spacious as was the bathroom. There actually is a lift if you need that to help you get to the higher floors. Meals and drinks from the bar were outstanding, breakfast was included in our price, staff weee exceptional! Especially our lovely receptionist who did a back to back shift …. he checked us in and checked us out.

We so love this hotel and have now stayed several times. We have always been given a large room overlooking the garden which has been perfect in every way. The staff are so friendly and always make our dog so welcome and she is allowed to join us for all meals. Yet again, the food was delicious.

Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful. Evening meals were very good with an interesting menu. Breakfast a bit basic but adequate - proper fruit salad would have been nice. Bedroom spacious and very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Gardens opposite hotel are beautiful - amazing lupins!

Room was big and had a great view of the garden. Bed was comfy but bit weird that the two single beds which were joined together to make the super kind weren't ziplinked and you could feel the join. Breakfast was good, especially when table service offered rather than buffet. Staff were incredible, everyone made exceptional effort to ensure we had a good stay. Even when they made a mistake, they owned it and resolved it quickly :)

Everything! The hotel was beautiful and the bedroom was the best UK hotel bedroom. We have stayed in. The food was excellent! All staff were friendly and helpful all of the time. Most importantly this has to be the best dog hotel in the UK! We had dinner with our dog in a dining area with other families eating with their dogs! What a great dog community that was. We had breakfast with our dog too, the hotel are truly dog friendly, just £10 pet fee per night compared to £30 we paid the night after in Inverness! For the first time I felt like I had been on holiday with my dog! Beautiful grounds and some areas dedicated to dog exercise ! Perfect dog holiday hotel! We are coming back!

The bedrooms were good, tea making facilities and lovely shortbread biscuits . staff excellent, bars and restaurants lovely as again were the staff great choice for breakfast and great service, also a couple of evening meals were good quality. Perfect location for the highlands

Beautiful old hotel in a lovely setting and a welcoming atmosphere. Staff was most pleasant and settled us in quickly. The hotel hallways and such are charmingly old and creaky but the rooms are spotless with tea service, good bedding and towels. Dinner in the hotel was quite excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast buffet (full Scottish) was great also)

I loved this hotel, is it slightly dated in certain aspects, yes but adds to the character of this hotel, it is authentic, our room was clean, comfortable decent size. Lovely view. That was the 4 poster bed room. The lounge to sit in was lovely. The food was extremely tasty, especially the curry! The breakfast was also great. The location is fabulous especially for us who love walking. And I have to say the staff were probably the nicest staff in a hotel I have come across. So friendly, helpful and chatty 😁

Pulling up outside the impressive facade gives all the right impressions. It’s a very grand building with loads of history. The room was excellent - very neat and tidy, as well as quite big. Food was very good considering the price. Staff were excellent. Great value for money

This castle style hotel is something that I do recommend for all who would like to discover the area. Staff was very kind, service were on a high level. Breakfast offered wide variety of dishes, we were able to pick all the components for a real Scottish breakfast. The hotel has a great restaurant to taste the local dishes, beers, whiskeys for dinner. River Nethy and the starting point of a nice walkway is at the corner. The hotel is can function as a perfect base to discover the National Park, visit Inverness or Loch Ness.
